Day 3 Aswan – Nile Cruise

After breakfast, transfer to Cairo airport for your flight to Aswan.

Upon arrival, our Egyptologist tour guide will escort you to begin your excursion to the famous landmarks of Aswan, start by the the High Dam, a testament to modern engineering prowess and a symbol of Egypt’s mastery over the mighty river. Marvel at the imposing structure that controls the flow of the Nile and generates vital hydroelectric power for the region. From the dam’s vantage point, soak in panoramic views of the tranquil waters of Lake Nasser, a vast reservoir stretching as far as the eye can see. Later, delve into the fascinating history of ancient Egypt with a visit to Philae Temple, nestled on an island in the midst of the Nile’s turquoise waters. Admire the temple’s exquisite carvings and learn about its relocation to higher ground to escape the rising waters of Lake Nasser. Conclude your day with a sunset felucca ride in the Nile, savoring the serene beauty of the river and reflecting on the wonders you’ve encountered in Aswan.

Day 4: Optional “Abu Simbel” – Kom Ombo Temple

After breakfast, “Optional tour” to Abu Simbel temples: fly or take a road trip to Abu Simbel on the southern border of Egypt, Approx. 280 KM South of the city of Aswan, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its impressive rock-cut temples. Marvel at the colossal statues of Ramses II and the intricate carvings adorning the temples’ facades.
